Durable finishes for your outdoor stairs

Stair finishing is an essential element in the design of a patio with steps. It affects both the aesthetics and safety of your installation.

Whether your stairs lead to a terrace, balcony, or patio, choosing a stair finish suited to your project helps achieve a solid, uniform result that is easy to maintain.

Option 1

Using our stair boards

At Dekavie, we have developed a solid plastic stair board to simplify the installation of outdoor stair treads, a step that can sometimes feel like a real challenge.

The stair boards is a turnkey solution that you will enjoy installing. In addition to providing a clean and durable finish, stair boards significantly speed up installation: simply cut the board to the desired length, then screw it into the stringers.

Dekavie: The Only Company to Offer Solid Plastic Stair Treads

What our customers appreciate :

  • Simpler and faster installation
  • Comfortable width underfoot (11.5 inches)
  • Installed directly on the stringers every 18 to 20 inches

Its 1.5-inch thickness makes it a highly durable step. It also allows for wider spacing of the stringers at 18 to 20 inches instead of 12 inches, which simplifies the structure and reduces the amount of material required.

The stair boards are available in all Dekavie signature colors, allowing them to perfectly match your deck surface.

Whether you are building a new patio or renovating an existing staircase, choosing the right stair finish helps ensure the durability of your installation in our local climate.

Option 2

Using deck boards to finish your stairs

This alternative is completely possible! If you choose this option, you will need two wide tongue-and-groove boards to complete your stair finish.
