Hot in the sun or not?
Many customers wonder, rightly so, about how hot deck boards get in the sun. The temperature of recycled plastic boards is comparable to wood and is mainly determined by color. The darker the color, the hotter it gets.
As a result, this is an important factor to consider when choosing your color, along with the orientation of your patio. For a full-sun deck, we recommend choosing Seafoam Grey or River Sand to keep your surface comfortable underfoot.

Local doesn’t mean more expensive. Since customers buy directly from the Dekavie warehouse, they don’t pay for importation or long-distance shipping.

- Available in 10, 12, 14, 16, and 20 feet lengths
- Custom lengths available (minimum quantity required)
- Install on joists spaced 12" (30.5 cm) apart for 10, 12, 14, 16, and 20 foot deck boards
- For recycled plastic deck boards over 20 feet, install joists every 10".
