Finishing a patio skirt is not just about installing cladding, it is a three-step process that, when done properly, delivers a clean, durable result with no surprises.
Build the supporting structure. Before any cladding is installed, a solid frame must be built between the ground and the deck structure. This frame will support and hold the finishing panels.
Install a membrane. Once the structure is in place, the front of the frame is covered with a membrane before installing the cladding. This step protects the top of the joists from moisture and extends the lifespan of the entire structure. We offer membranes suited for this application.
Install Dekavie cladding. Fascia, boards, or lattice, our recycled plastic finishing components are used to cover the structure for a weather-resistant, low-maintenance, and visually appealing result. They are available in the same colors as our decking boards for a perfectly coordinated look.
No matter which finish you choose, remember to allow space for ventilation. A well-ventilated underside is a longer-lasting structure.
